EADV Statement on current global crises
The EADV stands in solidarity with communities around the world currently suffering and facing the devastating impacts of global conflict and atrocities – we condemn all acts of violence and injustice. We remain hopeful that through meaningful dialogue and intervention, peace can be restored and further loss of life prevented.
In a gesture of support, EADV has made donations to aid the affected communities through contributions to non for profit charity organisations.
EADV are saddened to learn of passing away of Prof. Annamari Ranki
Professori Ranki was nominated as Professor and Chairman at the University of Helsinki, Finland in 1997, and retired from this position in the end of 2022. Professor Ranki’s academic journey

Abstract submissions for the Symposium in St Julian’s, Malta taking place on 16-18 May 2024 are now open.
Multiple abstracts are accepted and may be chosen for an oral free communication presentation or an e-poster, contributing to the extensive scientific programme.

Apply for a Scholarship for the EADV Symposium in Malta
Applications are open for the EADV Scholarship, offering free registration for the EADV Symposium 2024, a travel stipend of €1000, and a one-year EADV membership for 2025. Scholarships are available to residents, trainees, specialists and scientists in dermatology-venereology under 40 who plan to attend in person. Apply by 6th December
EADV calls for political attention to skin diseases at event in European Parliament
On October 24th, EADV members met with members of the European Parliament and other EU policymakers to raise awareness of the burden of skin disease and to call for concerted efforts to reduce their impact on individuals, the economy and society.
Burden of Skin Disease Supplement Issue
Explore the JEADV supplement issue dedicated to the ground-breaking Burden of Skin Disease Study – the largest epidemiological study of its kind ever undertaken in Europe. Data collected from 44,689 adults from 27 European countries was used to assess the prevalence and burden of skin diseases.
