5 Summit on occupational Skin Cancer - EADV Congress 2026

The European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology will host the 5th Multi-Stakeholder Summit on Occupational Skin Cancer in Vienna in 2026, alongside its flagship Congress. Following the successful Summit in Berlin in 2023, this established high-level platform brings together policymakers, institutions, scientific societies, patient organisations, social insurance bodies, and other key stakeholders to advance prevention, reporting, and early detection of occupational skin cancer linked to solar ultraviolet radiation (UVR).

Did you know that according to the World Health Organisation and the International Labour Organisation, every third global death from non-melanoma skin cancer is attributable to occupational exposure to solar UVR? This underscores the urgent need for safer workplaces, improved care pathways, and strengthened prevention strategies. The Summit will also address emerging risks to planetary health associated with climate change.

Leading experts, including representatives from WHO, ILO, the European Commission, together with Austrian and Swiss accident insurance institutions, will present international and national perspectives, share expertise, and engage in dialogue to develop coordinated, forward-looking strategies
