The lecture will provide an overview of the most revelant developments in HIV epidemiology, prevention, testing, and treatment. This is relevant in the context of venerology and care around sexually transmitted infections, but also to recognise dermatologic indications and key groups for HIV testing. Pre-exposure prophylaxis to prevent HIV, also called PrEP, now being implemented for 10 years, will be included in the presentation.
