Nearly 1 in 2 Europeans report having had at least one dermatological disease or condition in the previous 12 months, according to EADV’s Burden of Skin Disease survey. Projected to the European population, this means around 185 million individuals are affected. What are the roles of policies and partnerships in addressing the burden of skin disease in Europe? EADV’s Policy Roundtable ‘Addressing the Burden of Skin Disease in Europe through Policies and Partnerships’, which took place on 8th September, brought together dermatologists, patients organisations, industry, the World Health Organisation, European Commission and European Parliament for a solution-oriented discussion on the actions needed to tackle skin diseases in the EU.
