EADV Task Force VITILIGO
Mission
Vitiligo Task Force unites global experts and patient representatives to advance the field of vitiligo. It exists to foster meaningful collaboration between scientific leaders and patient representatives. Their purpose is to move the field forward through joint projects, updated guidelines, and clear communication of emerging insights. Guided by scientific excellence, inclusivity, transparency, and impact, this Task Force defines future-focused priorities that address unmet needs and improve patient outcomes worldwide.
The Vitiligo Task Force translates its mission into concrete action by bringing together international experts and patient representatives to drive progress in the field of vitiligo.
In practice, this Task Force:
- Initiates and leads collaborative projects that address unmet needs and emerging priorities
- Identifies and defines future-focused research topics to guide innovation
- Contributes to the development and regular updating of clinical guidelines based on the latest evidence
- Facilitates international collaboration by connecting experts from around the world
- Ensures meaningful involvement of patient partners in shaping priorities, projects, and outputs
- Promotes exchange of knowledge through discussions, position papers, consensus statements, and scientific meetings
- Communicates ongoing and/or completed initiatives to the wider professional and patient community
- Encourages high scientific standards, transparency, and inclusivity in all activities
Through these activities, the Vitiligo Task Force serves as a strategic platform for coordination, innovation, and impact, helping to move the field of vitiligo forward in a structured, collaborative, and patient-centered way.
