On 3 June at 16:30, the European Parliament’s Public Health Committee (SANT) will hold an Exchange of Views on the prevention of skin diseases and the public health risks associated with sunbed use.
This is the first time the European Parliament has dedicated a formal hearing to skin health in this way.
EADV will address the Members of the European Parliament and will be represented by two leading dermatologists member of the Advocacy task force:
- Prof. Alexander Stratigos, Professor at the University of Athens Medical School and former EADV President
- Prof. Aleksandra Lesiak, Professor of Dermatology at the Medical University of Lodz and member of the EADV Advocacy Task Force.
This exchange marks a historic step towards stronger political recognition of skin health.
