JEACP Junior Section Editors Mentorship Programme

JEADV Clinical Practice (JEACP) is pleased to invite applications for its Junior Section Editors Mentorship Programme, a 24-month initiative designed for early-career dermatologists with an academic interest in editorial work.

Responsibilities

Junior Section Editors will:

  • Support the peer-review process under the guidance of Section Editors
  • Contribute to editorial activities during the training phases
  • Develop commentaries and selected visual materials
  • Take part in mentorship meetings, seminars, and group sessions

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be:

  • Certified dermatologists (residents are not eligible)
  • Active EADV members
  • Under 40 years of age
  • Fluent in English
  • Prior editorial experience is not required

Application Materials

Please submit:

  • Curriculum Vitae (including publication record)
  • Motivation letter
  • Statement indicating two preferred dermatology specialties
  • Written commitment to a 2-year term

Selection Process

Applications will be reviewed by the JEACP Editorial Team, including the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editor, and Section Editors. Following the initial assessment and shortlisting, selected candidates will be invited for a final interview with the Editors. Successful applicants will be notified in the second quarter of 2026, with the programme beginning shortly thereafter.

This volunteer-based programme is a unique opportunity that combines structured training, supervised editorial activities, regular mentorship, and opportunities for academic engagement. It offers a truly rare chance for a select group of emerging editors to gain first-hand experience in editorial work under the close mentorship of established dermatologists and experienced editors. Participants will gain progressive exposure to the journal’s peer-review workflow, editorial decision-making, and scholarly communication. Upon completion, Junior Section Editors will receive formal recognition of service
