EADV Task Force Quality of Life and Patient Oriented Outcomes

Mission

This Task Force aims to contribute to the scientific knowledge concerning measurement of patient reported outcomes in dermatological research and practice.

This Task Force aims to:

  • Facilitate dermatologists in using validated dermatology-specific and disease-specific quality of life instruments (including for different age groups and skin diseases)
  • Stimulate research in the field of quality of life and to encourage the practical use of quality of life assessment to enhance the quality of clinical decision taking

The use of quality of life measures in dermatology is becoming more widespread across Europe, with increasing numbers of countries now requiring quality of life assessment as part of various guidelines. This makes an even stronger case for there being a focus for them within the structure of the EADV.
