EADV Task Force Laser Dermatology and Energy-Based Devices Mission

The Laser and Energy-Based Devices Task Force aims to position EADV at the forefront of innovation in laser and energy-based dermatology by promoting safe, evidence-based practice, advancing high-level education, and fostering international interdisciplinary collaboration. The Task Force supports clinical excellence, technological innovation, and the development of harmonised standards to improve patient outcomes and ensure the highest levels of safety and ethical responsibility.

The mission of the Task Force is achieved through a range of activities:

  • Develop, review, and disseminate evidence-based guidelines and recommendations for the safe and effective use of lasers and energy-based devices in dermatology
  • Promote high standards of patient safety, clinical practice, and structured training across Europe and internationally
  • Support and organise educational initiatives, including courses, workshops, and hands-on training programs for dermatologists at different levels of expertise
  • Facilitate collaboration between dermatologists, researchers, engineers, and industry partners to advance innovation and knowledge exchange
  • Contribute to scientific research, publications, and consensus documents in the field of laser and energy-based treatments
  • Provide expert input on emerging technologies, regulatory frameworks, and clinical innovations relevant to dermatology
  • Encourage harmonisation of standards and best practices across different countries and healthcare systems
  • Increase awareness and understanding of laser and energy-based treatments among EADV members and the wider medical community
  • Support young dermatologists and promote mentorship and professional development within the field
