EADV Task Force COSMETIC DERMATOLOGY
Mission
In the interests of enhancing best patient care, the Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dermatology Task Force of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology promotes excellence, safety, and scientific integrity in aesthetic dermatology. Its mission is to enhance best patient care by supporting evidence-based practice, education, and collaboration, ensuring that dermatologists remain leaders in cosmetic and aesthetic procedures while prioritising ethical standards, and innovation.
The Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dermatology Task Force of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology advances its mission through the following activities:
- Patient safety and ethics: advocating the highest standards of patient safety, ethical practice, and appropriate regulation in aesthetic dermatology.
- Promoting evidence-based practice: reviewing scientific evidence and supporting the development of recommendations and educational resources for cosmetic and aesthetic dermatology.
- Education and training: contributing to courses, symposia, and educational initiatives at EADV congresses and meetings to enhance dermatologists’ expertise in aesthetic procedures.
- Scientific collaboration: fostering collaboration among dermatologists, researchers, and experts across Europe to stimulate research and innovation in aesthetic dermatology.
- Professional leadership: reinforcing the role of dermatologists as the most qualified specialists to perform medical aesthetic procedures involving the skin.
- Knowledge dissemination: supporting the sharing of best practices, emerging technologies, and clinical experience within the dermatology community.
- Strategic initiatives: contributing to EADV projects, consensus efforts, and scientific discussions that shape the future of cosmetic and aesthetic dermatology in Europe.
