Job Description: Marketing Communications Coordinator

 

The Marketing Communications Coordinator is part of the Communication team and reports to the Head of Marketing and Communications.  He/she will support the Communications team on the implementation of EADV’s targeted, multichannel communications activities including DEM, social media, press and internal platforms.  The role involves interfacing with internal teams, and working to best practice methodologies.

Essential/primary accountabilities, he/she:

  • Supports the preparation of surveys and undertakes uploads within survey platforms
  • Assists with the preparation of e-blasts, performing mail-merges and uses mailing platforms 
  • Supports in the production and collation of reports  
  • Creates and posts content for internal channel communications
  • Supports with the preparation of presentations to EADV  stakeholders
  • Supports with basic graphic needs (e.g. resizing of banners, creation of basic invites, presentation graphics)
  • Undertakes basic updates to the website 
  • Enters communications plans on EADV project management tools
  • Is responsible for collating materials and assets for EADV events (Congresses, Symposium, Press briefings, Roundtables etc.).  Manages printing of collateral for face-to-face events. Coordinates materials for EADV booths.  Liaison with relevant suppliers.
  • Provides support in the setting up of communications meetings and preparation of minutes, notes and recordings for meetings
  • Supports the day-to-day activities of the Communications Department 

 

Required Skills:

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English. Good proof-reading skills
  • Knowledge of communication principles with a passion for writing 
  • Understanding of mailing database systems including Mail Chimp
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and WordPress
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign
  • Ability to use project management systems
  • Attention to detail and good organisational skills

 

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

 

Interpersonal skills:

 

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to collaborate and work as a team
  • Ability to exercise discretion

 

Experience and Education:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Preferably a university degree or equivalent
